Route

Half marathon

The half marathon at the Uniper Düsseldorf Marathon offers a fast, atmospheric course through the centre of the Rhine metropolis. Ideal for beginners, ambitious runners or anyone who simply wants to experience the marathon flair at half the distance.

Start

  • 📍Location: Joseph-Beuys-Ufer, directly on the Rhine
  • As with the marathon, the start is directly on the Rhine promenade - central location, great scenery, motivating atmosphere.

Section 1: Hofgarten & Königsallee

  • After the start, the route takes a first right turn onto Fischerstraße.
  • The route continues past the Hofgarten, one of the oldest public parks in Germany.
  • You then run along Königsallee, Düsseldorf's most famous street - not only luxury, but also plenty of applause from the spectators.

Section 2: Zoopark & city districts

  • The route now leads through the green Zoopark.
  • It continues through the lively city centre with many of Düsseldorf's hotspots on the way south.

Section 3: Media harbour & Kö loop

  • You reach the modern Media Harbour with its special architecture and urban atmosphere - a real highlight on the route.
  • You will then do another loop along Königsallee - a second time through the atmospheric city centre.

Finish

  • Now it's time for the final kilometres: The route turns towards the old town and the Rhine.
  • 📍Finish: Unteres Rheinwerft - directly on the river, right in the heart of the city.
  • Look forward to a magnificent finish with applause, music and pure emotion!
