Route

Marathon relay

Do you want to experience the Uniper Düsseldorf Marathon as a team? Then the marathon relay is just the thing for you! Four runners share the route totalling 42.195 km - each stage has its own charm and leads through the most beautiful corners of Düsseldorf.

Stage 1 - approx. 11.3 km

Like the marathon and half marathon runners, you start at the Joseph-Beuys-Ufer. You run along the Rhine towards the exhibition centre and Nordpark before returning to the city centre.
Transition zone 1: Fischerstraße

Stage 2 - approx. 13 km

Here you run past the Hofgarten and over the Oberkassel Bridge to the left bank of the Rhine. After a nice loop through Oberkassel, you return to the city centre, where your team colleague awaits you on Königsallee.
Transition zone 2: Steinstraße

Stage 3 - approx. 8.9 km

This section takes you north through the Hofgarten and past the Zoopark. After just under 9 kilometres, you will reach the next transition zone in Jacobistraße.
Transition zone 3: Jacobistraße

Stage 4 - approx. 9.3 kilometres

On to the last stage! You run through the Media Harbour, make a loop along Königsallee and head for the finish at the lower Rheinwerft - in the middle of the old town.
Finish: Unteres Rheinwerft
